Benjamin was the son of William and Jane (Norris) Enyeart.

He first married Judith P. Lloyd in 1817 in Walker Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. They were divorced in April 1839. They were the parents of seven children: Rachel Lloyd, John William, Jane, Henry, Benjamin, Abner and Thomas Lloyd.

Benjamin next married Sarah Mustard on 26 December 1829 in Miami County, Ohio. They were the parents of eleven children: Ray Jackson, Anna, Abraham, Loren, Joseph, Sabin H., Mary Jane, Sarah Elizabeth, John, Harrison Lee and Louisa.
