CHARLES CONNOR DIES
Was Resident of Conway Twenty-Three Years
Charles Connor, 63, died at his home in Conway Saturday, Jan. 30, after a brief illness with pneumonia.

The funeral services were held at the Conway Methodist church Monday afternoon, Feb. 1, conducted by Rev. Jas. Walls. Burial was in the Conway cemetery.
OBITUARY
Charles David Connor, son of John and Mary [Cyrena Lathrop] Connor, was born in Scott County, near Davenport, Iowa, August 24, 1873, and departed this life at his home in Conway, Jan. 30, 1937, at the age of sixty-three years, five months, and six days.

He was one of eight children. One, Nellie Peterson, preceded him in death. Those surviving are Harry Connor of Omaha, Mrs. Margaret Peterson of San Francisco, Calif., Robert Connor of Bedford, Daisy Connor of Omaha, Hattie Miller of Bedford, and Grant Connor of Doland S Dak.

He was married Dec. 24, 1908 to Ada Scott at Omaha, Nebr. To this union eight children were born: Betty Jean, an infant daughter preceded him in death. Hazel Connor of St. Joseph, Mrs. Clyde Neville of New Market, Ralph, Helen, Mary, Harold, and Charles, Jr. The wife and children survive.

Most of Charley's life was spent in Taylor County, the last twenty-three years in Conway. He was a citizen of sterling quality, a devoted husband, and a kind and loving father. He will not soon be forgotten. By his family and many friends he will be greatly missed.
