He was inducted into the Army on 28 May 1918 at South Paris, Oxford County, Maine... serial No. 2723831

He was a Private in the 22nd Company, 6th Battalion, 151st Depot Brigade at Camp Devens, Massachusetts through 22 Jun 1918 and Battery E, 302nd Field Artillery in France. He served overseas in France from 16 Jul 1918 until his death from disease on 20 Nov 1918.
