Hon. Geo. G. Stacy, who died at Stanford, N.Y., and was buried at Kezar Falls, last Sunday, was born at Kezar Falls, 67 years ago. Mr. Stacy, in early life, was a shoemaker and merchant. He was deputy sheriff of Oxford and York counties at the ______. He studied law and was admitted to the Cumberland county bar in '57. In 1859, at the age of 32 years, he was elected to the State Legislature. He afterwards served as State librarian for three terms. He was deputy secretary of State for four years.

Several years ago Mr. Stacy removed to Hoston, where he formed a partnership with the late Hon. Eben F. Pillsbury. Three brothers survive – Col. L. D. Stacy of Roxbury, Mass., Mr. V. B. Stacy of Seattle, Wash., a prominent railroad man, and Greenleaf Stacy, one of the leading citizens of Walla Walla, Wash.

Mr. Stacy's family, a wife, a daughter, Mrs. Wesley A. Leighton, and a son, Mr. Oscar Stacy, now reside in that city.
