Donald Carroll Temple, 89, of Kendallville, died July 19, 2008 at Parkview Noble Hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and a member of American Legion Post 86 in Kendallville and South Milford Church of Christ. He worked for 27 years at McCray Refrigeration and retired in May 1984 from Kendallville Foundry after 11 years. He was born Aug. 17, 1918 in Kendallville to Sanders E. and Ethel (Cochran) Temple. He married Donna L. Kistler on July 13, 1946 in Kendallville. She died Nov. 25, 2001. Surviving are a son, Rick of Kendallville; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Marvin Hart, Kendallville, and Debra and Danny Smith, Somerset, Ky.; 8 grandchildren, Lisa and Scott Householder, Angela and Jody Leighty, Caleb Temple, Jaime Bailey, Shauna Hart, Ashley Hart, Danielle and David Barnett and Donna Smith; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gloria Graves of Auburn. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, George, Russell and Sanders Jr.; and a sister, Avonna Holmes. Services Tuesday at Hite Funeral Home. Burial, Lake View Cemetery.
