Jeanne K. Rosenoff James was born April 27, 1920, in Ritzville, Washington, the daughter of William and Versa Rosenoff. She graduated from Ritzville High School and attended Cheney Normal School (Eastern Washington University) for one year.


On June 19, 1941, Jeanne married C. Donovan James in Ritzville, where they lived for several years. In 1950, they moved to the Idaho Falls area and farmed in two states, one farm east of Idaho Falls and the other in eastern Washington near Ephrata, Washington.


Jeanne was a loving mother and homemaker. She found pleasure in creating one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry and unique ceramics and baking family Christmas cookies and candies. She was a passionate bridge player, enjoyed bowling and loved playing golf. Jeanne was a past president of the Jefferson Hills Ladies Gold Association. An active member of the PEO Sisterhood for 68 years, she was a charter member and past president of Chapter BI in Idaho Falls.


Jeanne is survived by a sister, Norma Lou Jones of Renton, Washington; her six children, Kathie (Doug) Bingham of Canyon, Texas, Carol (Kenlon) Johnson and Doug (Sharon) James, both of Idaho Falls, Melanie (Steve) Heninger and Kim (Brad) Baumberger, both of Boise, and Cindy (Brandt) Lacey of Ames, Iowa; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister, Lois Caldwell; and her brother, Wayne Rosenoff.


A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Fielding Memorial Cemetery in Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a favorite charity. Our family greatly appreciates the loving care from friends and staff at Fair Winds Assisted Living in Idaho Falls, Meadow Lake Assisted Living in Boise and Accent Hospice in Boise.
