A funeral will be held Monday, September 21st, 2009 for 96-year-old Dolphine "Dot" Thompson of St. Mary, who died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Jackie Lowes Home Care in Perryville. She was born in Minnith October 22, 1912, daughter of William V. and Sarah (Talevast) Brown who both preceded her in death.
She married Gilbert Thompson December 10, 1932. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1996.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters: Ina Mae Ramito of Phoenix, Arizona, Norval (Sharon) Thompson of Minnith, Lendell (Janet) Thompson of Minnith, Floyd (Sharon) Thompson of Perryville, Joyce (Bernie) Giesler of Ste. Genevieve, Larry (Mary) Thompson of Minnith, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Baptist Church in St. Mary and the Women's Missionary Union.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday, September 20th and 6:30-8 a.m. Monday, September 21st at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery in St. Mary.
Memorials are preferred to cancer research or the Trinity Baptist Church in St. Mary.
