Warren Carroll Weideman, 83, Peru, passed away at 5:35 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2004 at Dukes Memorial Hospital.
Weideman was retired from the Peru Community School Corporation, where he worked as a custodian at Holman School.
He was born Feb. 25, 1921 in Kokomo to C. E. Weideman and Fern Gay (Tull) Weideman, and married Rosalie Velasquez on August 1, 1945.
Weideman was a member of the Peoria Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Eagles Lodge.
He served in the United States Army Air Corp as an aerial engineer.
Weideman is survived by his wife; three daughters, Patricia Gahs and husband Denny, Peru, Kathy Kline and companion Sam Baker, Peru, and Linda DuBois and husband Tim, Chili; three grandchildren, Ann Martin and husband Brian, Peru, Erica Kline, Peru, and Jimmy DuBois, Kokomo;
great-granddaughter, Abigail Rose Martin; two step-great-granddaughters, Sara Martin, and Rebecca Martin; four brothers, William Weideman, Kokomo,
Robert Weideman, Twelve Mile, Jack Weideman, Peru, and Ralph Weideman, Peru; and five sisters, Jane Frye, Carey, Oh., Martha Love, Chili, Anna Belle Heltsey, Peru, Alice Long, New Waverly, and Clara Miller, Denver, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother,(Harry Weideman); and three sisters, (Primrose Weideman, June Hight, and Esther Hodson).
Funeral services will be conducted at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on Thursday at 11 a.m., with Pastors Robert Adelsperger and Brian Daniels officiating.
Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Cass County.
A military committal service will be conducted by the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Miami County American Cancer Relay for Life foundation.
