Son of Jonas & Sarah Pittman Fleshman (Fleischmann). John was born on the family farm settled by his parents in the early 1800's. After John married his wife Elizabeth in 1859, they lived with his parents on the family farm, according to U.S. Census records (1860 & 1870).

Gravesite Details

John's gravestone was uncovered by tillage near or over the site of the original family cemetery. It currently (2009) lies near the base of a large tree on the farmstead.
