Major League Baseball Player. A promising catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, he played for them in the 1928 and 1929 seasons (in 1929 he led all National League catchers in fielding percentage). Less then a month after the end of the 1929 season he was killed by an automobile that jumped onto the sidewalk where he was walking and pinned him to a brick wall. His totals for his brief career were 201 Games Played, 126 Hits, 56 Runs, 8 Home Runs, 50 RBIs, and a .246 Batting Average.
