Mr. Glass was born in Chappell, Texas, on December 25, 1869, (this date is different than the cemetery records). He entered the railroad service in 1883. A traveling freight and passenger agent of the Texas Midland, headquarters at Houston, died very suddenly of appendicitis at Calvert. The funeral service was conducted at the First Methodist Church under the auspices of the Masons. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias.
