Raymond "Tex" Brown, 66, of Crowley, an electrician and owner of Tex Brown Electric since 1984, died Monday, April 20, 2009, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Burleson Church Of Christ. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home.
Raymond "Tex" Brown was born Aug. 17, 1942, in Dallas to Cortez and Julie Brown. He married Joyce Tinar on June 19, 1960, in Irving. He was a member of Chapel Creek Church (formerly West Berry Church Of Christ) in Fort Worth. He was very active in church especially delivering the Lord's Supper to senior citizens. He was a former elder of West Berry Church Of Christ, enjoyed genealogy and was a proud member of The Chickasaw Nation Indian Tribe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Martin Brown.
Survivors: Wife, Joyce Brown of Crowley; sons, Carl Brown and wife, Jill, of Crowley and Scott Brown of Titusville, Fla.; daughter, Michell Walden of Crowley; brother, Virgil Ray Brown and wife, Carla; grandchildren, Chandler, Tyler, Hunter, Connor and Carson; and numerous extended family members.
