Juanita Mae Foster, 84, of Urbana, formerly of Bement, died 4:50 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbanam with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in Rice Cemetery in Sadorus.

Mrs. Foster was born Nov. 4, 1924, in Ironton, Ohio, the daughter of Glen Sanford and Mary Magdalene Mayo Norman. She married David C. Foster on Sept. 20, 1947, in Oregon, Ill., and he survives.

She is also survived by daughters, Mary Foster of Concord, Calif., Lois Welch (Robert) of Urbana and Judy Hawn (Damon) of Bement; sisters, Nancy Riggs of Huntington, W.V., Margie Kizzee of Huntington, W.V., and Mary Lee Lyons of Lavalette, W.V.; grandchildren; Ryan, Michael and Jennifer Hawn; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Gadbury and Victoria, Noah, Mariah Hawn.

Mrs. Foster was a graduate of Marshall University, Huntington, W.V. She was a secretary at the University of Illinois for many years in the Psychology Department and the College of Food Science. She was also a substitute music teacher for the Urbana School District and she also taught piano.

She was a member of Parkville United Methodist Church, Parkville and was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of York Rite Free Masonry.
