BENTLEY, Barbara (Williams)

Former Johnson County resident, Barbara Allen Bentley, 61, of Langley, died Tuesday, March 28 at McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital. Mrs. Bentley was born July 4, 1966, I Johnson County, the daughter of Gladys Blair Williams of Flat Gap and the late Mervin Lewis Williams. She attended the University of Tennessee and Morehead State University, taught at the David Grade School for two years and had training as a physicians assistant. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Langley and Eastern star of Paintsville. Surviving are her husband, Roy Mitchell Bentley; her mother; two sons, Roy Michael Bentley of Langley and Johnny Ellis Boggs of Louisa; three daughters, Donna Preston Cochran of Louisville, Brenda Gullett of Nineveh, IN and Linda Boggs Johns of Franklin, NC; one brother, Dicky Williams of Ponca City, OK; one sister, Hannah Lee Gerrich of Rochester, IN; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 31 at Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Rev. Johnny Boggs officiating. Burial was in Bradley Cemetery at Langley. Paintsville Herald, April 5, 1995
