Mrs. Glen (Linda) McClure, 25 and her 5 1/2 month infant daughter, Michelle of Indianapolis, Ind. died as a result of an apparent short circuit in a combination comb-hair dryer accident in their home at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1974.

Funeral services at Zirkle Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell McDowell officiating. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Mrs. McClure, a Registered Nurse, and former Richland Memorial Hospital employee, was born in Olney, December 7, 1948, a daughter of Paul and Beulah Schwartz Brewer. She was united in marriage to Glen McClure on August 14, 1969 in Olney, Ill.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brewer of Olney; two sisters, Bonita and Paula Brewer at home; paternal grandfather, Mr. Lyman Brewer, Olney; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Eva Schwartz, Olney; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McClure, Olney; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michelle, age 5 1/2 months was born December 1, 1973 in Indianapolis, Ind. and is survived by her father, Glen; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McClure, Olney; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brewer, Olney; great-grandfather, Mr. Lyman Brewer, Olney; great-grandmother, Mrs. Eva Schwartz, Olney and several aunts, uncles and cousins in the Olney area.

Indianapolis police report that Mrs. McClure and her daughter were shocked fatally when an electric com-hair dryer fell into the tub in which the two were bathing and made contact with the water. The dryer was connected to an extension cord which in turn was plugged into an outlet in a vanity.

The bodies were discovered by Mrs. McClure's husband, also an Olney native. The dryer was found in the bottom of the tub, police stated.
