Funeral services for Ellis B. Hutchings, age 59, who passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday in Ramsey, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. R.E. Dowden officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery south of Olney.

Mr. Hutchings was born in Richland County, the son of Stephen Ellis Hutchings and Amanda Jane Kester Hutchings. He was a retired employee of the Illinois Power Company in Decatur and had worked as a serviceman in a gasoline station in Ramsey for the past few months. His residence had been in Ramsey for the past four years.

Mr. Hutchings was married to Ethel M. Frailey in June 1955.

He leaves his wife and two children; Mrs. Jane Runyon of Olney, Wesley Pride Hutchings of Olney and five grandchildren. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Tillie Housel of Decatur, Beadie Beatrice Shelton of Texas, Zollie (Bud) Hutchings of Olney, Ollie Chance of Lawrenceville, Dennis L. Hutchings of Parkersburg, Violet Pansy Carlyle of California, Letha May Laws of Sumner, Gracie Goss of Newton and Marjorie Staton of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents and the following brothers and sisters; Elmer O. Hutchings, Dora Schrader, Edna E. Dean, Martha Jane Hutchings and Sylvan Hutchings.
