Mrs. Ella Conrad Claimed by Death

Mrs. Ella C. Conrad, 85 , life-long resident of Wells County, died this morning at her home at 1127 South Williams St. Death was attributted to a heart ailment following an illness of three years.
She was born at Rockford on Feb. 16, 1867, a daughter of Myer and Christine Gilbert Kahn. Her marriage at Ossian on Sept. 16, 1886, was to Adam Conrad, whose death occurred Dec 23, 1939.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Everett Faulkner and Mrs. Hugh Kindlesparger, both of Bluffton. Mrs. Forrest Dishong, Ossian Route 1 , and Mrs. Arnold Peeper, Lima, O.; one brother, Leo Kahn , Dull, O. ; one sister, Mrs. Emma Clark , Bluffton ; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Four sons, Charles , William , Emery , and George, a daughter, Jennie, and one brother, Alonzo Kahn , are deceased.
The body was taken to the Thoma Funeral Home, where it will remain for services at 1:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery.
