Marvin L. Jones, 61, 111 East Hendricks Street, died Tuesday August 22, at his home.
Born November 28, 1933, Rushville, to Isaac and Ercel Jones. His mother survives in Shelbyville. Married December 11, 1956, to Ruby Dolly Coffey, who survives. Retired in April 1995 after five years as a lawnmower manufacturer with Great States Corp. Served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors are seven sons, Terry Jones, Robert Jones, Larry Jones, Jimmie Jones and Randy Jones, Shelbyville, and Mike Jones and David Jones, Marietta; five daughters, Mrs. Hobert (Debra) Hurley Jr., Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Smith, Mrs. Jerry (Cinda) Killey, and Elizabeth Jones, Shelbyville, and Tammy Moore, Greenwood; three sisters; 25 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A son, two daughters and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Murphy Funeral home, the Rev. LeRoy Reed officiating.
Burial will be at Miller Cemetery, Shelby County. Graveside military rites.
