Keith V. Poole, 30 of Black River Falls, WI, formerly of Janesville, died suddenly on Sunday, April 19, 2009, in Black River Falls. He was born on April 24, 1978, to Joni (Gjerseth) Poole in Janesville. He was baptized on Feb. 17, 1980, and was confirmed on Oct. 25, 1992, at First Lutheran Church of Janesville. Keith grew up in Janesville. He attended Janesville Parker High School until 1994. He then moved to Black River Falls, where he was employed by Northland Cranberry, Ashley Furniture, Hoffman Construction, and most recently Hart Tie and Lumber in Black River Falls. He enjoyed fishing, downhill skiing, and hunting. Keith had a great love for family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Joni (Mike) Kernan of Black River Falls; grandmother, Marcella (Johnson) Gjerseth of Black River Falls; grandfather, James Kernan; great-aunt, Patricia Johnson; great-uncles, Dean and Truman Johnson; aunt, Susan (Gjerseth) (Bill) Huber and Patty Vacek; uncles: Chris, Brad, Russel, Steve, and Danny Kernan; special friend, Claudine Kenyon; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Keith was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Gjerseth; great-grandmother, Inga Johnson; and great-aunt and uncles: Shirley, Arthur, Robert, and Dan Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at BUSWELL FUNERAL HOME, 106 S. 2nd St., Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Reverend Ramie Bakken will be officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday, April 22, from 12 noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls is assisting with the family with arrangements.
