George A. Van Gerven, 82, died November 27, 1992 at his home.

Born October 15, 1910 in Schiedam, Holland to Gerard A. and Johanna Meyer Van Gerven. Married Eva Christensen February 29, 1936; she died December 21, 1965. Married Shirley Jane Cox May 18, 1968.

Member of the LDS Church.

Survived by his wife; two sons and their wives, Gerard R. and Peggy Van Gerven; Jack and Cindia Van Gerven; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Gayle Lynn and Garry Anderson; Trudy and Richard Anderson; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Peter and Joel Van Gerven; two sisters, Jo-Ann Black and Margaret Strasters. Preceded in death by three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, one hour prior to services.

Interment, Murray City Cemetery.

Family wishes to express appreciation to the South Temple Dialisys Center, and the Hospis Organization for their special and loving care.
