Husband of Harriet Loveday Courcelle.

Frederick served as a Technical Sergeant on B-24H #41-28576, 825th Bomber Squadron, 491st Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Rutland County, Vermont prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 27, 1942 in Rutland, Vermont. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a filer, grinder, buffer, and polisher of metal and also as Married.

Frederick died in the "Line Of Duty" in a training flight when his B-24 crashed 6 1/2 miles NNE of Eads, Colorado during the war.

Service # 11055658

His brother, 1st Lt. Lucien C. Courcelle was also "Killed In Action" during the war in Germany.
