LAUREN DWIGHT BEEBE



Lauren Dwight Beebe, 75, passed away at home, Saturday, February 20, 1993 of natural causes.

He was born June 11, 1917 to Robert W. and Edna Pearl Beebe in Gooding, Idaho.

Mr. Beebe was employed by the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad for 44 years. He retired in 1980 as Signal Supervisor. During these years he was actively involved in community service and was instrumental in developing the first fire department and in bringing the first public television to Green River, Utah. He served as City Councilman in Green River and was on the Board of Directors for the Rio Grande Credit Union in Grand Junction, Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, Viola Jeppson Beebe, Murray, Utah; two sons and one daughter, Stephen (Karen) Beebe, Tucson, Arizona; Larry (Alice) Beebe, Salt Lake City, Utah; Jeanne (Bob) Phillips, Sandy, Utah; two brothers, Claude and Earl Beebe; one sister, Helen Hostetler; five grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday, February 25, 1993, 11 a.m., Murraydale Ward, 6300 South 300 East, Murray, Utah. The internment will be at Murray City Cemetery immediately following the funeral. A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 24, 1993, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street.
