Lester Parmley
Lester D. Parmley, fire inspector at Mare Island, died Saturday night at Queen of the Valley Hospital after a brief illness. He was 62.
Mr. Parmley was a native of Iowa and came to California from Nebraska. He had been employed at Mare Island for 21 years and moved to Napa from Vallejo 15 years ago. The family home is at 1770 E. Street.
He is survived by his widow, Gladys: six children, Lester Leroy and Clifford A. Parmley, Mrs. Margaret Ann Payne, Mrs. Emilyn Anneta Mock and Mrs. Gladys Cecilia Farrer, all of Napa, and Charles L. Parmley of Iowa: a sister Mrs. Harry Cartwright, and a brother, Gail Parmley, both of Richmond: and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service with the Rev. Warren Bonner officiating.
