He was educated in Washington, D.C., and was an attorney, an electrical engineer, and owner of the Lamb Seal & Stencil, Inc. In 1969, he and his late mother, Winifred Lamb Peters founded the Kingman Boys & Girls Club.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Mary Jane Peters; children, Marie Celeste Peters, Therese Rodriguez, Christina Peters, Julie Collen, Richard Peters, Jr., Melissa Peters, Bill Peters, Kara Veigas, Kevin Peters, & Suzanne Peters; their spouses; 13 grandchildren, five stepchildren; 10 step grandchildren.
