Earl W. Bigler, age 85, passed away April 30, 1993 in a Sandy, Utah hospital.

Born July 12, 1907 in Park City, Utah to Charles F. and Martha Vail Bigler. Married Bessie Giles in Coalville, Utah on July 25, 1928. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in October 1945.

Earl worked as a Mine Foreman in the Lark Mine. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 10 years and also for 10 years in the Jordan River Temple. An avid outdoorsman, he was State B Champion Trapshooter. He loved his grandchildren and devoted much time to them.

Survivors: wife, Bessie, Sandy; daughter, Jayne Petersen and husband, Robert, Murray; grandchildren, Robyn Nelson and husband, John, Las Vegas, Nevada; Kent Petersen, Marilyn Knapp and husband, Chris, all Murray; Sue Gibson and husband, Mitch, Sandy; five great grandchildren; brother, Forrest, Daniels, Utah; sister, Faye Cummings, Clearfield, Utah. Preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services Monday, May 3, 1993 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sandy 1st LDS Ward Chapel 8650 South 200 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
