The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Gaines Goodwin, who died Saturday morning at 2:30 A.M. at the advanced age of nearly 92 years,was held Monday at 2:30 P.M. from Fort Lewis Baptist Church in the county near the home where the deceased had lived for a number of years. Impressive services were held by the Rev. P. H. Chelf who came to Salem to perform the last said rites over the remains of one of his parishioners who had lived a full lifetime of years as a loyal member of the Baptist Church. Burial was in the Hatcher family cemetery.
