Mrs.William Riley died at her home in Macon about 9 oclock Friday morning from an attack of apoplexy, following an illness of about two weeks. She was taken ill and compelled to go to bed about two weeks ago and had not been able to sit up until Friday morning. She arose and sat in a chair about 8 oclock and the doctor arrived to see her shortly before 9 oclock. It was while the physician was there that Mrs. Riley suffered the attack of apoplexy and everything possible was done to save her, but in vain. The report that she had died while making her bed was a mistake. She lived long enough after the attack for Father Lyon to arrive before she died.
Mrs.Riley was about 73 years old. She was well known and highly respected in Macon and surrounding country, having lived there a number of years. She was a member of the catholic church at Macon.
She is survived by two sons, John and William (Jr) Riley and one daughter Cora Riley, all living in or near Macon. William Riley, Sr. died about a years ago.
The funeral will be held from the Catholic church in Macon at 9 oclock Monday morning conducted by Father Lyon. Interment will be at Macon.
