Allen E. Bennett, resident of White Salmon and of this community, passed away at Skyline Hospital on March 2nd at the age of 72 years.
Mr. Bennett was born in Le Sueur County, Minnesota on February 2nd, 1899 to Lillian and George Bennett. He was united in marriage to Beryl Ackley on Nov. 18th, 1922 at Stevenson, Washington.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons: Ronald Bennett of White Salmon; James Bennett of Edmonds, Washington; and Russell Bennett of Everett, Washington. One daughter: Jo Anne Roach of Seattle, Washington.
Funeral services for Mr. Bennett will be Friday, March 5th, 2 p.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home with Fr. William Shaw of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. The Eagles Lodge, Aerie #2210 of Bingen will participate in the services. Interment will be in White Salmon.
Active casket bearers: Philip Brumbaugh, Leslie Voigt, Harry Nielsen, Marlin Olsen, Lawrence Meyers, L.A. Beaudry.
Honorary bearers: John Nichols, Dean Bradford, Claude Ackley, Joe McMullen, Lloyd Thomas, George Molden.
