Nora Mae was the second daughter born to Ira Earl McLaughlin and Mary Emert Pearl McMahan. She was given the name of Nora Mae after her fathers deceased baby sister. She never liked the name due to this fact. Her first husband was John Lowery and they divorced in the mid 1950's. She later married James Edgar "Ed" Orr and spent many happy years with him until his death in 1979. She later married Nick Nichols.
