Gloria Vanderbilt's Aunt, Member of Old Dallas Family, Dies.

Mrs. Ivor O'Connor Morgan, 36, of Dallas, the divorced wife of Harry Hayes Morgan and an aunt of Gloria Vanderbilt, whose custody gave New York one of its most sensational society trials in years, died Monday night at Antibes, Frances.

Mrs. Morgan testified in the trial for the custody of the Vanderbilt child in behalf of Mrs. Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt, the mother of the child who was fighting to retain her custody.

J. Waddy Tate, her uncle, and Ernest R. Tennant received cablegrams from her sister, Mrs. Cornelia O'Connor Grey, Tuesday that she had died suddenly Monday Night.

Mrs. Morgan was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. C. O'Connor, early Dallas residents. Mr. O'Connor was the founder of the Dallas National Bank.

Although Mrs. Morgan was a resident of Dallas, she spent most of her time traveling in Europe. Her last visit to Dallas was during the Christmas holidays last year.

She was one of the heir of the O'Connor estate which owned a large amount of real estate here.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Cornelia Grey of Paris. Mrs. Grey being the only remaining member of the immediate family.

Funeral arrangements have not been made, but the body will probably be returned to Dallas in the fall for burial in the O'Connor family vault at Oakland Cemetery, Mr. Tate said.
