Bueona, also recorded as Benoni, was the son of William Bride and Polly Scripture.

"Families of Hancock County, Illinois", submitted by Bill & Elaine Gray, page 90:

"...he became wealthy in the hotel business in Boston, MA and brought $10,000 worth of gold west with him...he took mortgage on 15 parcels of land containing over 2000 acres in Hancock Co for 12% interest on a promissory note dated 18 Oct 1839 from Joseph Kinney of New York, who was the father of Benoni's future bride.

Benoni married Miranda Kinney on 27 May 1841, which was the first marriage recorded in St. Albans Twp...

Benoni and Miranda adopted Lovica Noyes who was born 24 Jan 1840 in Ohio..."
