Mrs. Abbie America Reeves Norris, 78, of Lexington, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington following a sudden illness.
She was born May 22,1926, in Fleming County, the daughter of the late William Pammer and Elizabeth Bradshaw Reeves. She was a homemaker and the of the Christian faith.
She is survived by four daughters, Lynda and Randy Donathan Lucy and Ricky Joe Williams all of Morehead, America and Mike Egan of Hillsboro and Brenda Leyendecker of Lexington; three sons, James Norris of Hillsboro, Bill and Alice Norris of Mount Sterling and Allen and Carol Norris of Topping, Va.; eight grandchildren, Kirby, Marilyn, Carolyn, Will, Jeremy, Allen II, Jordyn and Adam; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Veda Brooks and Ellen Adams of Hillsboro; two brothers, Barney Reeves of Hillsboro and Herbert Reeves and Margie of Knightstown, Ind.; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Jones Reeves of New Castle, Ind.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Ruby Jeanette Beers in 2003 and Virginia Norris; a grandson, Jeffrey Allen Johnson; two sisters, Bessie Reevesin 1995 and Nina Yapp in 2003; and two brothers, Ollie R. Reeves in 1985 and David William Reeves in 2003.
Pallbearers will be Randy Donathan, Ricky Joe Williams, Mike Egan, Jeremy Dulaney, Al Norris and Bill Adams.
