MOS:0351 Assaultman.

His friends called him "Henry".He was hard working and had a good sense of humor.
Henry graduated from Edgewood High School.
After graduating from high school,he enlisted
in the Marines 7 July 1965 at the San Antonio
Recruiting Office.
Enrique arrived in Vietnam for his tour in 1965
with Mike Company,3rd Battalion,3rd Marine
Division.Enrique served a 13 month tour.He
was wounded 7 March 1966.
After a short visit back home,he volunteered
for another tour of Vietnam.After arriving in
Vietnam 24 November 1967,Enrique was
assigned to Fox Company,2nd Battalion,4th
Marine Regiment,3rd Marine Division.
Enrique died as a result of a gunshot wound to
the head,when Fox Company engaged enemy
forces in the vicinity of Dai Do,4 kilometers
north northeast of Dong Ha Airfield during
Operation Napoleon/Saline.
Enrique was single and served his country for
2 years and 9 months and he had been in
Vietnam for 3 months and 11 days into his
second tour.KIA#23,779.
Enrique was 20 years,10 months and 5 days
old.
Survived by his parents;Elias & Amelia Munoz
Bernal,his brother;Elias Jr,and his sister;Mary
Teresa of 163 Willee Dr,San Antonio,TX.
His three married sisters;Gloria B Urdales,
Pauline B Burks and Amelia B Rosas of San
Antonio.
Rosary Services were held at the Max Martinez
Chapel and a Requiem Mass at the Holy Family
Church.
He was buried 25 March 1968 with full military
honors.
