A native of Athens, she had lived in Hapeville 35 years. Active in the Woman's Club and Music Club of Hapeville, Mrs. Evans was a member of the First Methodist Church there.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Mary E. Barwick, Thomas E. Barwick of Beverly Hills, Calif., and William S. Barwick of Hapeville; stepdaughter Mrs. George M. Maddox of Oakland, Calif.; a stepson, Gwyned Evans of Phoenix, Ariz.' three nieces and five nephews.
