Ann and John was married on 11 Feb 1838 at St. Mary's Church in Bury, Lancashire County, England.
Ann was always a housekeeper. Ann's father, Matthew Gorton was a Weaver by trade at the time of Ann's Christening. Both Matthew Gorton and Betty Fletcher lived in Castleton at the time of her Christening. Ann was sick for four weeks and died from a broken hip.
According to WPA Records there was no stone on this grave site in 1939 but a huge stone has been installed some time there after with all four names on it.
