Passed away 1-18-07 at the age of 84,
surrounded by his family. He is survived
by his wife of 62 years, Barbara, his son
John, (Kathy), and his two daughters,
Elizabeth & Laura, 4 grandchildren, and 5
great grandchildren. Born in 1922 in
Charleston, WV, graduated from The Univ.
of Michigan, Leigh was a naval officer
during WWII. For 2 years after the war, he did exploration mapping for the Alaskan division of the USGS in the naval reserve areas in northern Alaska, they then moved to Durango, CO where Leigh began a career in the oil & gas business. In the 1950's, the family moved to the Denver area where Leigh was a very successful geologist. An avid skier, hiker, and fisherman, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A brief service will be held at Ft. Logan Cemetery.
