Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, & Great-grandmother was born January 22,1912 in Norfolk, NE to Andrew & Mary (Ranney) Bove. She graduated from Enola High School. Married William r. Acklie on February 25,1931 in Sioux City, IA. Garmed with her husband in Madison County for over 60 years. She loved cooking, canning, gardening, fishing, and traveling to Florida in their motor home. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Norfolk.
VISITATION: No visitation.
SERVICE: Family services will be Tuesday,June 15,2004. Honorary Pallbearers; Tonn, Halley, & Winston Ostergard and Jeff, Andrew, & Grant Schumacher.
FAMILY: She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Duane & Phyllis Acklie of Lincoln. Granddaughters & Husbands; Laura & Jeff Schumacher of Lincoln, Holly & Tonn Ostergard of Lincoln. Son-in-law Hiro Nakajima of Stanford, CT. Grandchildren; Halley & Winston Ostergard, and Andrew & Grant Schumacher. Sister, Margaret Melcher of Waterloo, IA. Brother, Irvin & Bessie Bove of Madison,NE,and Brother-in-law Charles & Marge Acklie of Pierce, NE. Many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Infant son Marvin, & Granddaughter Dodie Acklie Nakajima, Sister Ruth, and brother Frank.
CEMETERY: Interment at WYUKA Cemetery.
MEMORIALS: In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Methodist Church in Norfolk, Madison County Historical Foundation or the WYUKA Historical Foundation.
