The remains of Samuel C. Snow, who was a resident of this city for more than 50 years, were brought here this morning on the 10:58 train from Shortsville, where his death occurred yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, William Snow.

The deceased, who was 85 years of age, has been in feeble health for a number of years. He resided here until six weeks ago, when he removed to Shortsville with his son.

The deceased is a son of the late Rev. William Snow, who was the first pastor of the Methodist church of this city.

Besides his son, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank Darling, of New York. Upon arrival here the remains were taken to the undertaking rooms of Devaney & Fletcher, and this evening will be taken to the home of Miss Minnie Haight of 29 Park Avenue.

The funeral will take place on Saturday at a time and place to be arranged later. Burial will be the family plot in the Washington Street Cemetery.
