WILLIAMSPORT DEATH
George Hillyer, brother of John G. Hillyer, of this city, passed away Monday morning at 8:50 o'clock at the home of his son, Kenneth Hillyer in Williamsport. Death was caused by cancer of the pancreas. He has been ill for several months and was a patient a few weeks in Lake View hospital, Danville, Illinois. Mr. Hillyer was born in Pine township, Warren county, Feb. 15, 1861. He was married 50 years ago to Ida Wattles and they celebrated their golden wedding last fall. They were the parents of four children, two of whom preceded their father in death. Besides the wife, Mr. Hillyer is survived by one son, Kenneth Hillyer, at whose home he died, and one daughter, Mrs. Grace Hess, who lives near Williamsport. Jonathan V. Hillyer who lives near Williamsport, Arthur W. Hillyer and Edgar L. Hillyer of Rainsville, and John G. Hillyer of Attica, were brothers and Mrs. Addie McCrea, of Pine Village, a sister. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Rainsville, with burial in the Rainsville cemetery.
