Vera is the daughter of Afanasy Trofim'evich Klistoff (1899-1946) and Pauline Paul Cherimisin (1901-1986). She is one of six known children: Ruby, Vera, Norma, Steven, Kathryn, and Anna.
She married twice. She first married Leonard Hebenstreit (1918-1977) on 18 Jul 1942 in San Francisco, CA. At the time of their marriage, Leonard was employed as a poster clerk for United Artists Corp. Vera was not working. They had one daughter, Joyce.
Vera's second marriage was to Unknown Leblanc. There were no children from this marriage.
