Ralph A. Cousins, 74, of Kittanning, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 10, 1935, in Kittanning, a son of the late Frank and Nora (Van Dyne) Cousins. He was a retired coal miner. He served in the Navy as a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Kittanning Moose Lodge and Kittanning Eagles. He loved watching Pirate games and western movies. Survivors include his son, Larry (Paula) Cousins, of Kittanning; sister, Lorena Crytzer, of Ford City; four stepgrandchildren, Moranda and Kyle Anthony, of Kittanning, Austin Emigh, of Cherry Run, and Tiphany Ohler, of Cherry Run; three grandchildren, Naomi Crytzer, of Rural Valley, Demi Shields, of Ford City, and Holly (John) Wright, of Kittanning; first wife, Della Palermo, of Ford City; brother, John Cousins, of Kittanning; son-in-law, Danny Murtland, of West Kittanning; and three stepchildren, Tammy (Mike) Bish, of Rural Valley, Paula (Kenny) Vaughan, of Volant, and George (Deb) Painter, of Adrian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Cousins; daughter, Denise Murtland; son, Ralph Cousins Jr.; daughter, Pamela Faye Cousins; sister, Essie Brumbaugh; and brother, Boots Cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
