Former Henry Countian Marcie Lillian Whitworth Smith, 90, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died there Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Her funeral was planned at 10 a.m. today at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial was to follow in Buck Williams Cemetery in Springville.

Family members and friends were named as pallbearers.

Visitation was Sunday and today.

Born June 24, 1921, in Springville, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie Rufus and Hattie Helen Bucy Whitworth.

She was married on Nov. 6, 1944, to Leon Vivion Smith, who died May 30, 1979.

A member of North East Park Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, she formerly attended Temple, Fairview and Point Pleasant Baptist churches in Henry County.

She leaves two daughters: Glenda (Don) Hibbitts of Dunnellon, Fla., and Elaine (Faris) Moore of Louisa, Ky.; one son: David Smith of St. Petersburg; one sister: Marie Simpson of Poteau, Okla.; three grandchildren: Kevin Hibbitts of St. Petersburg, Melissa French of Gallatin and Steve French of Henderson; and two great-grandchildren: Natalie and Zachary French.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Hazel Hudgins; and three brothers: Charles, Willis and Brent Whitworth.
