Ellen was a daughter of John Randall (1820-1889) & Sarah Woodley (1823-1875), who married in Sep 1840 in Hagbourne, Berkshire, England and both buried Berkshire
At least 2 of her sisters also came to New Zealand
Mary Jane (1844-1922) and Martha (1842-1922) and their husbands, emigrated from East Hagbourne, Berkshire, departing from London 20 Nov 1874 on the Hudson. They landed in Napier 12 Feb 1875 .. https://tinyurl.com/ycyzx2zm

Perhaps the reason Ellen did not emigrate with her sisters the previous year was the birth and death, of son George. George is on the passenger list as 9 months old. That was his age at registration to emigrate. He died prior to their leaving, aged 11 months.
At one time all three families lived in Woodville on Pinfold Road.

The funeral will leave the residence of Mr J. Carson, Upper McLean Street, on Sunday, March 9th, at 2 p.m. for the Woodville Cemetery
