* Ellen, husband William and 3 of their children followed them the following year. They departed from London on 23 Oct 1875, also on the Hudson, and arrived in Napier 11 Feb 1876 .. https://tinyurl.com/bddvsxfh . Perhaps the reason Ellen did not emigrate with her sisters the previous year was the birth and death, of son George. George is on the passenger list as 9 months old. That was his age at registration to emigrate. He died prior to their leaving, aged 11 months.
At one time all three families lived in Woodville on Pinfold Road.

MARTIN - On Friday, March 7th, 1919, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr J. (Josiah) Carson, McLean Street, Ellen, relict of the late William Martin, in her 71st year. Dearly loved by all.
The funeral will leave the residence of Mr J. Carson, Upper McLean Street, on Sunday, March 9th, at 2 p.m. for the Woodville Cemetery
