Lawrence David Cox, 85, of 1401 N Kentucky, died Tuesday in the Robertson Convalescent hospital at 1219 NW 8. Death was caused by a heart ailment. Cox was a retired building contractor. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in the Smith & Kernke funeral chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Born near Woodsfield, Ohio, Cox came to Oklahoma City in 1917 from Yukon where he operated a meat market. Prior to that he lived in Wichita, Kan. A member of the Methodist church and Odd Fellows lodge, Cox is survived by his wife, Mrs Maud Cox, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Elsie E. Jones, 2708 NW 16; Mrs. Dorothy Lauderdale, 1909 NW 13, and Sylvia and Marguerite Cox, both of the home; a son Edward E Cox, 2243 NW 15, and a grandson, Jerry Edward Cox, 2243 NW 15.
