The funeral of Mrs. John Antoine, an old resident of the Island, took place on May 22nd, from the residence of her son, and was attended by many friends and relatives. The pall-bearers were Messrs, E. Fetterly, C. Burson, H. Leao, W. H. Miller, W. L. Hight, L. Antoine. Mrs. Antoine whose maiden name was Arilla Pratt, was in her 78th year. She is survived by her husband, her sons, James A., of Barnhart's; Edward A., of Massena, and her daughter, Mrs. C. Burson, of Cornwall, all of whom attended the funeral. The service was conducted by Rev. C. O. Carson, of Wales. The relatives have the sympathy of their friends.
