WEDNESDAY AT AGE OF 76

Phoebe Jane Prudence Johnson was born May 11,1850 and died in Yuma, Colorado, February 2, 1927 at the age of 76 years, 8 months, and 22 days. She lived in Iowa during her girlhood days. At the age of 16 she was married to William R. Woodward, a young soldier of the civil war. To this union three sons and three daughters were born. Mr. and Mrs. Woodward were pioneer settlers of Kearney County, Nebraska, homesteading near Lowell, where they lived until the death of the husband. She moved to Yuma, Colorado in the spring of 1907. During the past few years she had made her home with her daughter Mrs. Ruby Dickson in this city. She is survived by all her children - Mary Keenan of San Diego, California; Anna Monk, Yuma, Colorado; Ruby Dickson, Yuma; Charles H. Woodward, Archer, Nebraska; William Woodward, Lowell, Nebraska; Frank Woodward, Eckley, Colorado. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She chose to be on the Lord's side when quite a young girl. Her thoughtfulness of others in her daily life serves as a fond memorial in the hearts of her loved ones. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
