Leona Della King Clawson, died September 9, 1993 at the age of 85.

Born May 4, 1908 in Salt Lake City to James F. and Julia Jones King. Married James Lowell Clawson; later divorced.

Graduated from West High School and University of Utah. Taught first grade in the Salt Lake, Hiawatha and Kaysville schools. Retired from teaching in 1973. Was recognized by her students and their parents as an exemplary reading teacher. Received award as Outstanding Teacher of the Year.

Member of the American Assoc. of University Women and served on the board of the Davis County Chapter. Also active member Delta Kappa Gamma and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survived by two sons, Roger L. (Carolyn) Clawson, David K. (Karla) Clawson, and daughter, Shannon (Charles) Pecht; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, sister, Norma Hardy, and brother, Ronald King.

Funeral services Monday, September 13, 1993, 12 noon, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary Chapel, 4760 South State, where friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 11-11:50 a.m.

Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
