Odis was one of five children born to Jim and Alice Sims Harville.
The other children were: Ora Lee, Evis, Junior and Infant Son Harville.
He was the spouse of Geneva Sutton.
They were married November 21, 1942 in Lawrence County, Alabama.

Harville Rites Thursday A.M. At Gum Springs
MOULTON -- Funeral services for Odis Harville, 33, Kalamazoo, Mich., former Moulton resident, are to be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Henderson officiating.
Mr. Harville drowned Sunday in Crooked Lake at Dalton, Mich., where he and his family and a friend, James Cagle, also a former Moulton resident and his family had gone for boating and fishing.
Boat in which the two men were riding capsized in 50 feet of water. Harville, who was unable to swim, had been riding some of the children just prior to the accident. His body was recovered about 10;30 p.m. Cagle was rescued.
Mr. and Mrs. Harville and family moved to Michigan in 1950. At the time of his death Harville was a foreman for the Rex Paper Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geneva Sutton Harville; three daughters, Vanedra Anne, Vonda, and Debra; two sons, Jemar and Lamone; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Harville, Moulton 2; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Lee Latham, Miss Shirley Jean Harville, both of Moulton 4; three brothers, Evis, of Oklahoma, Junior, Kalamazoo, and Greg, Moulton 4.
Interment in Rutherford Cemetery is to be directed by Brown of Moulton. Pallbearers will be Crawford Rutherford, Hershel Rutherford, Leslie Sims, Silvey Sims, Vancil Rutherford, and Kyle Harville.
