William "Pete" Kirk was born March 29, 1919, to Willie "Bud" Kirk and Mandy Needham Kirk in Kemper County, MS.
He married the former Malendia Griffin, the daughter of Kutcher "Kutch" Griffin and Indiana Cole Griffin, and they had six children, five daughters and one son.
He died February 18, 1988, at the age of 68.
He was the Husband of Malendia Griffin Kirk; the Father of Velma Kirk Mitchell, Odessa Kirk Bell, Addie Olivia Kirk Harris, Dorothy Ann Kirk Rush, Willie Rufus Kirk, and Maudine Kirk; the Son of Willie "Bud" Kirk and Mandy Needham Kirk; the Brother of Walter Kirk, Mable Kirk Campbell, James Windham, and Alfred H. Griffin; the Paternal Grandson of Louis Kirk and Annie Kirk; and the Maternal Grandson of Thomas "Tom" Needham and Mary Needham.
