WINNSBORO — Funeral services for Zennie Barron, 86, of Winnsboro, were to be at 3 p.m. today at Winnsboro First National Funeral Home with the Rev. W. W. Bebill officiating.


Burial was to be at Crowville Masonic Cemetery.


Mr. Barron died Wednesday at Veteran's Administration Hospital in Alexandria after a long illness.


A native of Ashland, he was a member of the American Legion Post at Crowville. He was a retired farmer and veteran of World War I.


Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mattie Barron of Winnsboro; one son, Hershel Theo Barron of Ferriday; two daughters, Mrs. Annie Dollar of West Monroe and Mrs. Leon Mock of Baskin; three brothers, Otis Barron of Coushatta, Eugie Barron of Winnfield, and Edgar Barron of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Coleman of Coushatta and Mrs. Ida Knotts of Castor; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
